Do you have any nicknames?

Sydnee and Mommy are the only names I really go by. :)

Do you have any siblings?

Yes! I have a younger brother and sister, Sean and Summer. I was an only child for about 11 years.

Where did you grow up?

I never know how to answer this question simply! I am a southern girl though — that is for sure! I lived in Arkansas, Georgia, Texas and Tennessee. And now I’m back in Dallas!

Where did you go to college and what did you major in?

I went for a year at Union University, transferred to University of Memphis and graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with an emphasis in advertising.

What kind of music do you like?

I like to listen to anything that has goooood bass!

What did you think you wanted to be when you grew up?

I thought I wanted to be a writer, a teacher and an artist at different times. Turns out, I get to be all of those things now!

What are your top three movies?

Mean Girls, Oceans 8, and The Other Woman

What’s something you’re self conscious of?

My right eye twitch! I started in 2015 and never stopped. It seems to bother everyone I meet. haha. :)

How would you describe your style?

I don’t think I have an exact style. I wear things according to my mood. Most times I'm wearing a t-shirt and leggings!

Why did you start a blog?

I initially started it as a creative outlet, and a way to encourage others in what I was learning in the Bible, and just in life as a newly married girl. It's evolved into an avenue to share my art, ideas, life hacks and recipes I've learned along the way.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

When people chew on their nails. GERMSSSSS!

Do you have a job besides being a stay at home mom?

I'm a contract designer for Apartment Life, Lionheart Children's Academy, and Skylark Camps. 🙂

How did you meet your husband?

I met Ben at a church function during my first year of college at Union. We met briefly, but we didn’t end up actually going out on a date until 4 years later after he had moved states and I had transferred schools! Crazy how people pop back up in your life after a quick meeting like that. I’m glad he did! 🙂

Do you have any pets?

We have a Maine coon cat named Vici.

What have you read recently?

I'm in the middle of Welcome to Adulting by Jonathan Pokluda. Me, Ben, Sean and Summer are all going through it together to help them prepare for college and adult life. We meet via FaceTime once a week to hangout, chat about the book, and catch up!
