I am a mom of three. The laundry machines are always bustling, but so am I! I cannot tell you how many times I've forgotten to move the towels over to the dryer and they end up smelling so mildewed and gross.
I figured out a solution with basic household ingredients to get the stink out! No need for those snuggle scent boosters here — this is a natural, non-toxic way.
Get the Stink Out of Your Towels Recipe
- Take 3 dryer balls and drop some essential oils of your choice. I like a combination of lavender and eucalyptus or orange and peppermint. 5-10 drops per ball. Throw those in the dryer, and dry them by themselves.
- Wash your towels in hot water with 1 cup of vinegar.
- Wash your towels AGAIN with 1/2 cup of baking soda in hot water.
- Wash your towels one more time with your detergent in hot water.
- Dry your towels on HOT with your naturally scented dryer balls.
That's it! Towel stink all gone. Whoo hoo!
